I killed drizzt twice in bg1, once I used the multiple surprise backstab technique. My character (F/T) Imoen (thief) Montaron (F/T) all at once in the first "wave" almost killing him, then drinking invisibility potions and doing the process all over.
The first time he got poisoned with that knife you buy on Thunderhammer store.
In BG2 I killed him twice for the hell of it. His party is strong, but not really that hard, I'm very sure that his lone form in bg1 was far more dangerous against our low level monkey party. Anyway, on BG2 you may always use the wonderfull high level spells if you cheat a bit, or the endless list of cheeses. But you can do his party hack and slash too, if you give your tanks adequate spellcasting suport.
i've killed drizzt in bg2 many times, but the first time i played through i didn't kill him.. i didn't need to, since i already had good eq, and you loose his stuff anyway to that "i can't be killed" wizard after defeating bodhi anyway..
You can always use a mod to fix that, I have it burned on a CD (made my own mod library on a few cd's) but downloading that component is easy. Anyway, his loot is unimpressive on BG2.

Using the island in BG is probably the safest way of killing Drizzt and getting his amazing armor and his twin scimitars. Pick up an NPC you don't want and lure him to the water's edge. After that just pelt him with missile weapons after juicing up a bit. His scimitars are the best long swords in the game, in my opinion, and one of them gives you -2 AC, always a plus! You can also Hide in Shadows while wearing his armor, so give it to a ranger or a fighter/thief. Kivan loves it.
Are there any good sites to get a decent avatar from? I'm new and I haven't been able to locate a cool one.

Any man who asks for greater authority does not deserve to have it.

Washing your hands is important if you cook your breakfast.
i don't know but imoen said: "that irinicus probably sold our best stuff" maybe he sold it to drizzt or his dwarf friend or something after drizzt was resurected.
Bodhi apparently needs gold since she asks you to pay for her help (instead of simply making you serve her). As for Irenicus "selling your best stuff", there are a lot of items from BG1 floating around in Athkatla. If they're supposed to be unique (with individual names and histories), I think it's safe to assume (or pretend) that those items used to be yours before they were put on the market. (Although I couldn't tell you how your own Gauntlets of Ogre Power could end up inside the Planar Sphere when no one but Valygar could open it.)
