3 sources of frustration: help

3 sources of frustration: help (SPOILER?)

I have been playing this game for a few days now and like it very much. Have always liked Bioware games. But there are three things so far that are annoying the heck out of me, and I don't know how to resolve. I can't find my manual but I doubt if all these would be solved by finding it anyway. Here they are in decreasing order of importance:

1. How do I skip through the dialog rendering cut-scenes whenever I talk to someone? I want to read what the dialog-text says, but don't want to listen to all the trash. At least, when I'm done reading there should be some way to skip to end of cut-scene right? It takes forever for anyone to say their thing and when you go to a shopkeeper or someone you go to repeatedly, it gets tiresome.

2. How do I turn off party AI? Is such a thing possible? If you have played Baldur's Gate or some such other party based game, you know you have an option that lets you turn off party AI so that you can control each NPC's actions manually. Its horrible when I go through the undercity and attack 2 rakghouls in front of me and Mission suddenly decides to shoot at another buch of 5 off to the distant right! Another eg. is when there's a mine in front of me and I send T3-M4 to disable it but Bastila just runs forward to hit the Sith trooper behind it and steps over the mine. In short is there an option that lets me 'stop' everyone from doing their current actions and do instead what I say?

3. How do I get rid of useless crap in my inventory? I mean the Bek datapad or Twisted Rancor Trio book or whatever that I have done with but is still lying around in my backpack. There doesn't seem to be a way to just 'drop' an item from the inventory.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for the responses.

1. Left click.

2. No.

3. When you have a container's window open, click switch to give item, or just 'sell' them.

Hey thanks for the quick reply! Left click! How simple.

Too bad I can't control combat properly.

The 3rd point poses a minor problem. Switching to give item on a container doesn't show all items in your inventory. Usually the ones I want to throw are the ones that don't show up. Anyway this is minor like I said earlier.

You can actually control your characters manually.
What you need to do is "stack" all the actions you want the NPC to do.
Not sure if your playing xbox or PC so I will try to generalise. (!?!)

Select the enemy, if you have auto-pause on it will...well pause.
You can then use whichever button flicks between the party members.
Then you can "stack" all the moves you want the NPC to make.
So select mission, select her target, then select her first few moves.
Then select T3, slelect his target and his moves.
You can go back to them after their moves finish and select new ones if required.
Just remember this will only happen when you are in "enemy sighted" mode.
All of this will happen while the game is paused.
As soon as you un-pause the NPC's will do as you have told them.
Sorry I cant actually tell you what buttons do what, but like I said I dont know if your xbox or PC. (I only played xbox, so dont know the PC controls)
Hope that was helpful

BTW, unfortuantley there are certain items your going to be stuck with.
That kid is on the escolator again!
