If im going to go back to SoA finally ending this grand saga with Tob, then I want to get to the most out of it. (all the quests, dialogs including a romance - just as you guys have!)
One easy way would be to change your sexe (using ShadowKeeper, of course) to a male right after starting the game (you can still keep the avatar). Then, after the romance has started, you change back again. I know that the Jaheria romance for example starts when first entering CC ("Where to now, fearless leader...").

Ulfen, just download the Romance patch and pick the lady you like the most
Gay romance has been discussed previously on the board, and if you play a female, this patch can be used, but if play a guy, then there is no way around it. Let's hope the game industry will acknowledge the issue in the future!

Actually, I believe my advice will work there, too. I once started a game with a female PC and then picked up Anomen. After the romanced had started I decided to change a few of the NPCs and create a new PC. Anomen, who I'd kept, continued with his romance dialogues even though my new PC was male. Due to the risk of personality crises I tried to end the romance by being extremely rude. Anomen turned out to be very persistent, though, and I ended up restarting the game. Should you choose to do this on purpose, you will of course have to accept Anomen addressing you as "Fair Lady"...

The gender/race variables are set at the beginning of the game. Therefore you can import a main character of any race/sex right after the opening movie and still have any romance which would be applicable to your original character.
For example, I started with a female monk. Right after the first movie I decided I wanted her to be a him, so I imported a male monk into that slot instead. When I met up with Anomen in Chapter 2, he did indeed start romancing my male monk. Was a bit weird, as the "Fair lady" post said, but was an interesting discovery.
Needless to say, you must start a multiplayer game to import another character in. However, after you have made the "switch" you can copy your multiplayer save into the regular save directory and play normally.
Has anyone had this happen? I started ToB (2nd time through) with a female character romancing Anomen, and suddenly I got a romance dialogue from Jaheira! I checked the romance variables, and discovered that both had theirs set to 2, though Jaheira's shouldn't have existed.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

I have a saved game right after Irenicus Dungeon (cause I hate to replay that one) where my PC is a dwarf. When I start a new game I replace this PC with a new one. I've always been able to romance with the new PC should I take one of the accepted races, although a dwarf can have no romances. For the Jahiera romance I have to do the change of PC before entering CC or the romance will never start.

ROFL! Imagine the script allowing any type of romance in TOB with Aerie with a female PC

Aerie: I'm pregnant
PC: WHAT!!!!????? OK AERIE LETS HEAR YOU EXPLAN THIS ONE!
Aerie: Well.... Boo and I have been getting close over the past few weeks....... I've been feeling neglected....
PC: I don't want to hear...... What??!!BOO!!!???
Minsc: My mighty warrior spirit is crushed! Boo you said I was the only one!....
If you're using the multi-romance patch - files "_3" in my Happy Script - then you can have all romances that you've chosen. So if you copied the Viconia_3.bcs file (for example) and renamed it to Viconia.bcs, then your character will be able to romance Viconia, no matter of race/sex/other romances; the same with the other three files (Aerie, Anomen and Jaheira)
mmm... Wait, how could Anomen get Aerie pregnant? I thought he tried to kill her?
No, i would have to say it would be Minsc, except that he's too dumb to realize that you're not sexually fulfilling Aerie, not to mention his honor would never allow it...
Who? Who? Who has sired Aerie's baby if you're a lesbian? Who? ... the world may never know...
What misreable wretches we mortals be
to build our homes in sheltered lea
to build our hopes in sheltered womb
weaving fancies of the tomb

Obviously it was Haer'dalis.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach
