She's not evil, she's just misunderstood!

Post by Ode to a Grasshopper »

I have a cute little halfling level 5/10 thief/monk, who due to a series of unfortunate misunderstandings shifted alignment from LN to LG (LG, yech) and now to LE. The plan has always been to get her monk levels to 20, and then indulge her true nature and put her on CN and build up her infiltration skills. The thing is she's currently CE, but it's really not her fault she's an adorable little seek-and-destroy machine in a cute pink dress. This is the part where you all say 'Awww...' :(
I made her as a counterpart to my elf ranger/thief/shadowdancer, so where he's subtle, invisible, and ranged (gotta love that 5d6 sneak attack when you're picking off ogres with a longbow) she's direct, in-your-face (all my favourite women are) and melee-oriented, albeit very good at what she does. Kind of an all-round infiltration/assassination/'appropriation'/humiliation team, able to take out an army of guards or just slip quietly through any stronghold without being seen. The point is, like a homocidal drag queen or a Decepticon she can't help being what she is, it's just her nature to like to fight, and it's very hard not to overcompensate in the  attitude stakes when you're aggressive, tiny and cute and wear a bright pink dress. She does warn people, "Prepare to be beaten by a girl" she says. But now civilians have started attacking her on sight, so could someone please tell me how to edit her alignment to LG, and ideally to CN so I don't have to do the SoU interlude 30-odd times? She doesn't actually like beating up women, children and penguins, but what's a girl to do when hostile commoners just won't let up?
Please help my Quelle Surprise!

EDIT - right, help out the hooker in Chap 1 lots, but that doesn't help with the whole Lawful Chaos thing. Please?

Civilians attacking you on sight isn't due to your alignment (from what I can remember) but has to do with what faction you are aligned with. If you are in SoU, and in the original town, then helping the Red Wizard by killing the mayor will set the townspeople hostile to you (for example).

As far as I know there is no direct way to edit the PC's alignment. However, there are several player made modules on nwvault on IGN which include an "alignment switcher" as part of the module. I can't remember exactly which ones, but if you wander over there you should be able to find them pretty quick.

Now I'm not sure if NWN enforces this, but if you change your alignment to Chaotic, you may lose all your Monk powers... (That would be so in a PnP game, but I am not 100% sure about NWN.)

Cheers,
TGHO
