I'm at the end of the game and am trying to kill Belhifet (Poquelin as the demon). He won't die. I'm thinking it must be some sort of bug.
I'm not talking about not having the strategy to get the job done. I've easily killed the golems and have been wailing on Belhifet for quite awhile. Since he's registered as almost dead, I've done well over 1000 hit points of damage on him. He no longer attacks me, he justs phases from one spot to the next. The only damage I'm suffering is from the flamestrike like effect of his phase. this is slowly depleting my healing spells. Every time I get to him, my fighter alone is doing excess of 70 points (30, 12, 12, 14, 12 for example).
Does this guy have 3000 plus hit points or have I hit a snag? I haven't had a single spell work against him, but it's not a problem because my melee guys are doing so much damage.
Anyone else have this problem?
Can't kill Belhifet???

Had a similar problem with Poquelin
Hi,
I didn't experience this with Behlifet but I had a somewhat similar problem with Bro P in the cave. My party did 500+ hit points of damage and he didn't die. But I think in this case it was because he failed a save against a Chromatic Orb spell (he wasn't moving or casting any spells) but because he was necessary to finish the game he wouldn't die. After reloading and not using Chromatic Orb on him the game moved me to Easthaven after 100 to 150 hit points of damage on Bro P. I found another site LOCUSINN@RPGDOT which has the statistics for the NPC's (good and bad). It is at http://www.locusinn.com/index.php
I suppose they went into the code to get this info, Behlifet has 350 hit points and an AC of -12. Brother P in the cave has 250 so something was wrong in both of our cases.

UNCOMMON VALOR WAS A COMMON VIRTUE
Yea. it was definately a bug. I just reloaded and it worked fine. My initial panic was because I was on about my fifth effort to kill him and had finally made progress...I was reluctant to just start over. Of course, the reason I had finally had success was because I finally found the appropriate strategy. He's really a cake-walk once you figure out his AI.
