spoiler-last battle -hotu Hello guys it's me again. I’m stuck in the city core at the last battle; I got a lot of soldiers attacking me and the seer. I wasn’t able to rest before so I don’t have all my spell, and I cant seem to kill them (both waves of attacks),is this the end of the rode for me ?cus I don’t know what to do anymore.

That final segment can be a real pain, true - especially for spellcasters.

I'd recommend you to reload your last save -before- the actual siege and stock up on scrolls. When the battle begins, stand back during the "Town Walls" scenes. The NPC battalions should be able to fend off the first attack by themselves. Then, when the actual attacks on the town center are launched one after another, first rely on your scrolls and save your own spells as long as possible.
Depending on how many of the Valsharess's allies you have taken out, there will be more or less attack waves...

Hmmm... and if that all doesnt help... do you still have the "Rod Of Frost" from the very beginning? That one item which allows for infinite uses of the level0-spell "Ray Of Frost"? Since if you do, I might be able to provide you with a small modified script which, when placed in the "override" folder, will turn this baby into a more than deadly weapon... but better try the normal way first.

PS: Back then my "Lina Inverse" sorceress, too had to resort to her non-canonic spells since the normal ones had all been used up... ahhh, the joy of igniting a DragonSlave or a RahTilt in the middle of a drow battalion... *evil snicker*

I also recommend loading and resting before the battle.
Otherwise - do you have scrolls/wands to utilize?

On the other hand - I found the battle extreemly easy with a high level spellcaster with spells, and more difficult with my pure meele character.

help

i do have scrolls but it doesnt help me..the load game i have is from city core,a minute or two befor the attak.i dont know what to do..the other load game i have is from the maker's .what am i suppoze to do? the cheate that i've been given doesnt work on my game (the "debugmode") .is there any way out of this mess or what?

I strongly doubt this. My guess is that it is typed wrongly into the game.

No, Zel. I don’t have the rod of frost. I have the rod of missels...and as regards to the cheat... believe me I did everything you told me to do... I went back to my NWN.ini (folder),then went back to Game Option... I wrote Debug Mode=1... I saved it...and in the game itself I typed -` (or Tallk )-then ##DebugMode 1 I typed it with ## and then without ## and still the answer I got was- "function is not found " or something. My husband did that for me (he knows batter)... So what now??

Secondly - where did you type the ##DebugMode 1?
If you use the ##preface - you should type it in the chatbox, and not in the console command prompt.

I strongly doubt a situation where such things could happen unless the installation is faulty somehow.

Ok, i went back to the nwn.ini.player (file) typed "Debug Mode =1" and saved it, then in the game when I went to `-and typed "Debug Mode=1" I got "success" this time, however; when I typed the codes such as: GetLevel# (instead of # I typed 21); I got the
Replay "function "GetLevel#"not found. What am I doing wrong?
And will this help me finish the fights? And if not what will consider my limitations?
colud you guide me through this?

Then those instructions were wrong... or you didn't read them properly.

Step 1:
Go check that .ini file again. You do NOT need the "DebugMode..." entry in there. Instead, you have to look for these lines:
Enforce Legal Characters=1
ItemLevelRestrictions=1
Change them both to "... =0". (although it should even work -without- any modifications in the .ini, we want to walk the safe path this time...)

Step 2:
Launch NWN and load the savegame. Into the chat window, type
## DebugMode 1
and press enter. And no Debugmode is NOT the same as DebugMode, so watch out for capital letters. Plus, there is NO space between "Debug" and "Mode". It should answer you something like "console:success".

Step 3:
Enter the cheats you need into the chat window, always predeced by two "#"s. And no, the cheat is NOT "getlevel X" but instead it is "dm_givelevel X", where X is the number of -additional- character levels that you want to receive.
So, for example
## dm_givelevel 4
would grant you 4 additional experience levels. That being said, I'm not sure if the cheats can help you in your current situation... after all, the main objective is to keep the Seer alive and the cheats only allow -you- to become stronger. Plus you cant rest at that moment, can you?

Step 4:
Once you're done entering all cheats, be sure to switch the Debugging off again by entering
## DebugMode 0
into the console. Otherwise your savegames might get screwed later on.

Ok, listen: This is my last try. If this doesn't work, then I can't help you any further. The following steps will give you a "rod of frost" which unleashes an extremely deadly spell as often as you want it to.

Read each step VERY closely and type each command EXACTLY as I write it here. Watch out for CapItAL LeTTeRs and spaces - for example, there is NO space between "Debug" and "Mode" !

First:
Download these three script files and put them all into your "override" folder in your NWN directory. (right-click on the links, choose "save as" and then choose your override directory as the target location.)
- nw_s0_rayfrost.ncs
- nw_s0_rayfrost.ndb
- nw_s0_rayfrost.nss

Second:
- load the savegame
- pause the game
- type ## DebugMode 1 into the chat window
.......(EXACTLY as I wrote it here!)
- place the cursor somewhere on the floor close to your character.
- type ## dm_spawnitem nw_wmgmrd006
- a "Rod Of Frost" will appear under the cursor
- type ## DebugMode 0
- take the rod
- use it to slaughter the enemies.

If this doesn't work, check your spelling again and check if you REALLY did put the three files into your ".../NeverwinterNights/override" directory.
