Please can someone tell me where to find these two axes? and possibly the armour... i've spent 2 and a half weeks looking, and i think i may have missed them... if anyone can give the locations me and my Dwarven defender would very happy
The Spellsmasher is in a Drow Chest in the Beholder Caves. Exactly in the middle of the map, in the small treasure room right past the Eye Tyrant throneroom.
The Dwarven Waraxe +7 is not present as a "fixed item" in the Hotu2 module. (and neither is it in the Hotu3 one)
You most probably -can- get it from a high-level randomized chest, though. How? By "chestloading", i.e. quicksaving before first opening a randomized chest and then reloading until the right item shows up in it. Unfortunately, since you said you already combed the whole Underdark, there won't be any still-random chests left (since you already opened all and thus determined their content).
The "Gilded Defender" is not available as a "fixed item", too. Neither in the Hotu2 nor in the Hotu3 module. Here, too, chestloading will be your only chance.
If you don't mind cheating, you can summon all these items to your feet by typing the following into your chat window (be sure to add the "##"s and watch for cApiTal LeTTerS)
Thanks a Bundel Zel time to visit some beholders, shame about the chests...
i'll import my character into the beginiing chapter and try some random chests.... if this takes another week i'll just try the cheats later on in the game

You can buy the gilded defender from Volkarion, the djinni in the bottle
