need help importing custom content from CEP

Post by Thiagoth »

i have neverwinternights for a long time and its been awhile i dont play it, but some time ago the CEP(comunity expansion pack) was released and i decided to play the all the campaingns again but now using the new custom content(like portraits, heads etc), the problem is that when you install CEP its not like the other oficial expansions, that substitute the older OC modules for new ones that have acess to new content, so the custom content from CEP can only be acessed by the two modules that comes with the expansion or if you make or modify a module adding the new hak files, but this cant be done with the oficial campaigns modules since theyre protected against modifications, so i need to know a way to install custom content in oficial modules .
thanks for the attention and forgive my bad english

Hmmm I don't know if that helps your case, but... if you open the game-subfolder
".../nwm"
in the Windows Explorer and uncheck the "read only" attribute in the file properties for the campaign modules, then you -should- be able to modify even the main modules in the toolset.

Did you really try it?

Since after I removed that attribute, I could perfectly open a campaign module just like every other module out there... no warning message, nothing. And I could access the haklist in "Module Properties"... and that still isn't enough?

Yes im sorry that was my mistake, i tought it wouldnt work removing the "read only" atribute because even when i did it some warning messages appeared in the module editor but i have just saw in bioware forum that this is the right way to do it thanks man :)
