NwN & Expansions *spoilerish*

Post by Adahn »

Ok I have a question, as some of you know I had a problem with my Dialog.tlk but ever since it got fixed i've gone back to playing Neverwinter Nights, now I just finished the original and loved it. Though I did remain alittle perplexed when I Didn't find out what happened to Aribeth at the end. - Aside from that, I quickly clicked SotU to see if it continued the story, I was of course disapointed. Now before I buy Hoards of the Underdark, i need you guys to tell me, does the story continue? Or not? Cause if it dosn't, I don't get it hehe... Sure it's good and all, and that dosn't mean I don't like it. I just got this thorn in my side about it.

Hey wait a second, if Hoards of the Underdark continued Shadows of the Undrentide, then... how... Wait a second! The character isn't the same one from the original! How can she end up with some other jerk instead of the original char? IS there no expansion that continues the original?

No expansion to continue the original. NWN2 might, but I kind of think they will come up with a whole new story. Hopefully they will give us some references.

I personally think the stories are better in the expansion packs. And I think the first chapter of SoU is excellent. A much more likely story of the beginnings of a hero - an adventurer training in a quiet countryside village, and not even thrown in at the deep end. You are still performing a pretty simple task. I thought the final chapter of that was a let-down personally!

And Hoardes of the Underdark is shaping up quite nicely as well. I like it a lot! You should play them. Just come up with story about how Aribeth ends up in that situation! Role-play.... I personally had a different ending dreamed up about my character and Aribeth than Aribeth turning up in HotU.

And one more thing:
if you play well, you may even read this type of ending
"...and so they lived happily ever after..."
about you and Lady Aribreth :D :D :D
