I've heard that there's a way to unlock the camera in NWN, such that the game sort of acts BG2-like, and I can scroll in the four directions. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
Don't know, but I'm not sure why you'd want to. Would make navigating many interiors VERY difficult, trying to move and see enemies in narrow corridors!
The camera is unlocked if you use the expansion HotU.
There once was a camerar hak for the regular NwN, although I doubt that one is made anymore after HotU.
But maybe it can still be found on the Internet.
I think he means being able to moce the camera off character in the same way you do in BGII.... not the whole fixed cam position.
And i have never heard of anythign like that.
Not all matyrs acheive divinity;
But at least you tried.
Hmm, I thought I heard fable (or one of the other mods) mention something about removing the fix for the camera... or perhaps I read wrongly. By the way, Xandax, what do you mean by the camera being unlocked in HoTU? Do you mean for the purposes of module creation?
The unlocking of the camerar in HotU and via the camera HAK was so you could title the camerar in larger angles and zoom in/out better.
It was still, however, locked with the PC in center however.
(I've even seen NwN in First Person Mode somewhere, some time ago)
