(NWN) Have I over-cheesed?

Post by iamweaver »

I was perusing the walkthrough on areas I finished, and read that the final part of the snow globe should have been difficult? Since I knew what was coming, I self-buffed my barbarian with potions/items, and changed to my standard "Boss Tank" mode with the Drone Morningstar (now +4 of course) and Imaskari shield. The battle was pretty fast, and I am not sure I lost more than 30 HPs. Did I just get lucky? I tried the encounter again after reading the Gamebanshee walkthrough and lost all of 42 HP that time through.

It's not as though I have rerolled items to get ones that fit, or any such; I pretty much take what the game gives me, buy the rest at merchants, and let the HPs roll as they will. The only thing I have done is install SoU - does that add items at the Chapter 2/3 level, or just the extra feats?

Most fights in this game are not that difficult if one is prepared. So I wouldn't worry to much. There are a some that had me in the ropes my first time through - but almost all other times it have been relative easy.

SoU dosen't alter the difficulty of the original game, but only adds classes/feats/skills (which if used right, could make the game a tad easier though). And I doubt it would add equiptment to the game either save possible some random loot, but nothing extraordinary.

You haven't "cheesed" anything, so don't worry.
