Charwood before Luskan?

Post by iamweaver »

I finished up most of the Port Llast quests, and found the items that Daelan and Tomi wanted for their necklace/ring (the only 2 NPCs whose quests I finished in Chapter 1), but am being pushed by Aribeth to go to Luskan. Is there any vitally nifty item from there that I should worry about, as a barbarian? To be honest, since I got Enkido armor (sp?) in the Creator area, I have felt, well, a bit cheesy in combat.

I don't like to wander through walkthrough/maps of areas that I haven't fully explored myself first, so I was hoping for a relatively non-spoilerish answer.

Go to Charwood is my advice, there is no reason not to anyways.

I don't know if you get some very usefull equipment, but there is a hint to the Cult there. And also one of the better quests in NwN (In my oppinion) takes place in Charwood.

Also - after you enter Luskan, you can't leave again.

I am glad the game itself warns you of that, and to bring your NPC with you (I assume this means that I have only 1? Never mind - I will find out). I was feeling that the fights were getting a bit easy after finding that damage mitigation armor (are you supposed to find it so early?), and was looking forward to moving to harder monsters - but I always like doing quests, too, so I will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. That was an interesting quest - no perfect ending, either way. Beating the Bodak took some planning, which was good, and proving the suspected truth as a non-caster took a couple of passes thru the dungeon until I found all the right items. Nice plot twists prior to Chapter 3 as well. Fun, fun.
