Finding Monk Monestary 3rd Level

Ok, this should be easy for most everyone cause they never posted any problems finding it. All the guides state that the third level to the monestary can be found after the 8 chambers are complete, just going down the stairs on the 2nd monestary level. Well, there is much to be desired in that description. If I use the stairs, then I go back up to the 1st level. I can't find any other stairs on the second level. So there must be a keyboard combination that you have to use to get there. I tried the simple ones, alt, ctl, shift and nothing worked. Would someone please detail how they got to the third level in the monestry so that I can figure if I have done something wrong, or need a patch, etc...

There is no keyboard combination, the stairs to the third lvl is just next to the stairs to go to lvl1. Are you sure you are clicking on the part of the stairs that go down instead of the part that goes up?
