HOTU 3rd path guardian (spoiler)

I'm past the windswept battlefield, I've defeated the devil guy, I get a hint of a cut-scene but the path guardian doesn't show up. So I can't throw the catapult and move on. Any ideas?

Read and respond to the lengty reply I made in the HELP: Windswept Battlefields: De-railed (hotu) boss wont show just now.
