Dark Age Of Camalot

Hey all,

I am trying to help a friend fix his computer. He has a Windows XP. He plays the game Dark Age Of Camalot. After running the big update for the expantion pack to the game (So i'm told) a few days later the game froze up so he naturaly turned off the computer and turned it back on.

When he turned it back on he got the error:

Registry Error

***Stop: 0x00000051

Now I"ve been hunting down answers on the net for two days now and I can only friend people who are having problems with this error for windows 2000. I would love to reformat the computer but It won't even let me do that. Any ideas?

Any new hardware that have been installed in the computer?
If so - try and remove it.

What happens if you boot from CD (switch bootsequence in the BIOS) - would this allow you to format the harddrive?
