Right, so I've got the portal open and everything, but there are a lot of options available. You can kill him; agree to his plan; seal him then agree to his plan; tell the Knights he's dead and then listen to that lady and go kill him and save the knights, or leave them, or read that scroll that she gives you while you're outside the building; tell them he isn't dead and forgive them, tell them he isn't dead and kill them... loads of things. What I'd like to know is, which course of action gets you the most experience and the best items?

Perform the ritual with the scroll, aggree to help the demon and get out of there. When outside, choose the option that will make the Knights of the Vigil go into the Keep. Then you will receive a scroll. Use the scroll and seal the keep. But you can still enter the keep and kill the demon if you like. You get experience for every step you do.

I wasn't able to enter the keep after using the final scroll. The two portals were closed. How did you do it?
None of the options get you good loot, best EXP would probably be to kill Demorgon (& pals) then go whack the knights, too. I always just spike trap the big D and get on with my life.
So cheesy.
I did this too and DG went down pretty quick, even the improved DG. Too lame though. After all those levels and build up, you gotta fight him. He's too cool not to fight and the game's all about awesome battles and the DG battle (improved esp.) is one of the best.

I don't know, it worked for me(I believe that I have the lastest version installed). I went directly back to the last level of the keep. The blue light was gone, but I could still enter it.

True True, seal the place and you can still enter the same way you came out,BTW is it me or is the Demo-gorgon NOT a monster that really inspires terror? I dunno, but between the weird appendages and the baboon face he just wasn't that fear-inspiring
