Spoiler
The scene is actually pretty funny. The woman promises you a "good time"
if you retrieve a ring from a nearby pool. Hard to resist a damsel in distress who is also an exotic dancer so off you go diving in the weeds. When you grab the ring you hear the woman say some variation on "sucker" and as you leave the pool you're attacked with missle weapons.
If you zig-zag and close for melee they won't last long. If you're not good at combat it might be more of a challenge. I thought the other attacker was a woman as well, it seems to fit the story better, but "she" is the one wearing the amulet.

When you find it, in addition to those two saying their battle cries, Azura says "No good deed goes unpunished, outlander."

The wisest way out of that situation is to cast Invisibility on yourself, sneak out of the pool, and sneak attack. Her Chameleoned partner only has limited transparency, so he's easily picked off. I wish he'd given him Invisibilty. I've never fought an Invisible opponent before; I imagine it would be interesting in a dim room.
