i started a new NWN game and i was talking to a preist in the temple of Helm and he said something about the undead not being able to enter the temple because of a ward he put on the door, then just at that moment a zombie attacking me inturupted our dialogue. whats up with that???

Well - that is just a little fun coincident in my oppinion.

The ward is likely not in the game at all - but just a thing that is said in the convesation, to explain why a priest is still running the temple in the undead infested area.

And the fact you were attacked by a zombie, well - he proberly just followed you inside :)
