I have recently installed the HoTu expansion to my Neverwinternights gold. I went back to the original campaign and it seems like I can't sell the traps I find.
Are there certain people i need to speak to to sell these traps, because this will take away a valuble source of income for my rougue.
selling traps
Traps have for some reason been labled as "Stolen Goods" - as you have no doubt seen for yourself now.
This means that only a select few merchants (more shady merchants) will accept traps.
The only one I can remember with accuracy is the "shady" merchant in chapter 2, near the docks area of the starting city.
Personally though - traps aren't a great source of income compared to the weight and space they take up. I don't know if prices on them have dropped in recent patchs, but the ones I tried to sell was not worth the effort.
I see little to no reason to haul many traps around (unless your rogue actually uses them), especially if you only do it for gold.

I just think that there just isn't as much fun in simply disabling the traps I find. I enjoy being able to recover just about every trap I find. It is true that the minor traps aren't worth a whole lot, but with a good appraise and some of the stronger traps, I've gotten as much as 200GP for one trap.
