I have worked through the annoying maze but was wondering how you help the Skeleton Chieftan? Also made it to The Hall of Dead Wind and killed it and that brutal Zombie. The Dead Winds remains are on the ground with that shimmering light (the one that points out key items) but I am unable to pick it up. It highlights when I hit the TAB button but I dont get The Hand icon to pick it up. Did I miss something or is there a bug? Thanks for the help.

Been some time since I've played SoU, so am not sure how it works, but are you sure you don't have the dead winds remains in the backpack and it simply is the body that illuminates on the ground.
Many quest items automaically appear in your backpack when killing the quest creature.
I don't know if this is the case here, however.

If all you need is the sphere of the remains of the dead wind - what you can do is simply spawn the item into the game. Then you don't have to fight through the battle again, if you dosen't want to.
To spawn an item into the game, you have to use the console.
In the chat box area (where it says Talk
type:
##DebugMode 1
##dm_spawnitem item_deadwind
(the item should then spawn where you mousecursor is located, so be sure not to place it in a wall or something
)
##DebugMode 0
This should spawn the "dead wind" into the game for you, the item tag is taken from the toolset.
Unfortunally - I've recently just made a new install of the game, and thus the SoU expansion (interlude and chapter 2) is not open for new games, so I can't start a chapter 2 game to verify the item tag.
But it is an alternative to doing the battle again.

A much better idea. I have not looked into the tool set because I am not interested with anything but playing the game. Is there a way to list all items in the game? It would be interesting to view those items. Thank you for the help. Have to go now and play its been a week and I am going through withdrawl. Thanks again.

The only way to list all items in the game would be to look in the toolset (that I know of).
However - many items are module specifics, so you can't use the spawnitem command to spawn in items that aren't placed in the module.
For instance spawning in a chapter 2 item in chapter 1 will not succeed. (It haven't for me while testing itemstags for bug-struck people, where I've accidently started the wrong module
)
That is why I can't test the item-tag for you, myself, to make sure it works
