level help - siege tower

i can't get into the siege tower. i've been stuck for ages, and so i finally looked up how to add the damn thing to my inventory without even bothering to get into the tower, but i can't find the hex value listed anywhere. if anyone has a savegame where they vcould look it up, and tell it to me, or better yet, help me to actually get inside the tower, that would be great. i appreciate any help anyone can give me, and offer my thanks in advance.

To get into the Tower you first need to talk to Lazlo in the Lower Ward Marketplace. If you exhaust all dialog options you should be able to figure out what to do next.

I can give you the hex value for any item you want, but you'll need to be more specific. If you mean the birdcage it is "DRMCAGE".

sorry. i was very frustrated when i posted the plea for help, and i just naturally assumed that everyone automatically knew what i was talking about

. i've tried the thing with lazslo, but i'll try again; i've spent this much time on it, a little more won't kill me. thanks for the hex value, platter, if the lazslo tip doesn't work.

um. dammit. it worked. not to sound ungrateful, but i went through that same exact conversation before, and i didn't get any journal updates. but i did now. and i got in. thanks for the help.
