Can't find bran

Post by NevynX »

Hey guys!

I have searched all over chapter two, but I simply cannot find the third boy who was turned into a werewolf! I found the boy in Port Llast, and one on one of the roads ( can't remember which road - I think it was south road). Is there any way to force him to spawn in somewhere, say via the debug mode???

PLEASE help as this is driving me nuts!

Thanks in advance!

Bran should be in a cave in the far north east part of the South Road.

When near the exit to the farmlands - go north from there untill you find a cave.

Bran's not there

Xandax, Bran is never in the cave when I go there.

I have gone at night, and in the day.....

Am I missing something??

Does anyone know how to just spawn him in using the spawncreature command???

Could it be I have missed him altogether???

HELP!!!!!

He should be there if you have gotten the quest.

I don't know if they appear before, but I doubt it.
So if you got the quest (which you likely do - but just checking :) ), and he isn't there, then there are a few things.

Firstly - make 100% sure you are in the right spot.
Check your location with the walkthrough for that area:
http://www.gamebanshee.com/neverwintern ... throad.php
It is the location marked as number 3.

Secondly - if he isn't there still - it sounds as a bug. Make sure you are patched fully (1.62 currently).

Thirdly - it is possible to spawn him in using the spawncreature, but that creates some ... problems.
This means you can't save him by giving him a charm, because the way the game handles creatures spawned in with the "dm_spawncreature" command is to place them as friendly in your party. And I can't figure out a way to remove them again, so you will have to slay him. (If anybody knows a command to spawn in creatures that is not the dm_spawncreature, then tell me :D )

If you wish to do this, what you have to do is to use the console to enter debugmode.
The easiest way is to type in your text/chat box, otherwise you can enter the console command prompt by using the key left of your backspace (this button varriates between national keyboard settings - my key to use is the `key because I use a danish keyboard, english/us setting is ~ if I remember right). But the text/chat box is much easier.

First thing to do is to clear the cave where Bran should be - or anyother safe location where there is nobody else around, and I mean far around, because you will kill them using this technique :D
After clearing the cave(safe location), leave your henchmen outside or back in the town, he will die also if you don't. (Still think he will be alive back in the temple of tyr though - but haven't tested it)

What you should type is
##DebugMode 1
##dm_spawncreature m2q1cbran

This will spawn a "Bran" and place him in your party.
Now use this command a few times:

##dm_cowsfromhell

Using it a few times will kill Bran, and in his remains will be the ring, to give to the priest that gave you the quest.

After he is dead exit debugmode:
##DebugMode 0

Remember the "##", they are needed when using the text/chat box. If you are using the console command prompt don't type the ##

Unfortunally - I've not found a way to save him, because I can't get him to leave my party when spawning him in this way.

Hopes some of this helps.

Thanks Xandax - I was wrong.

Thanks Heaps Xandax - I looked around last night after re-re-re-re-reading your post, and realised I was in the wrong map!!!!!

I went to the top right corner of the south road map, only to find a ramp up to a section of the map I hadn't opened yet, and lo and behold - THE CAVE!!!!!!

Thanks very much and I apologise for the inconvenience!
