circumventing the 3 class limit?

Post by Baddurk »

is there any way (hakpacks/modules/actual game hacks etc.) to have more than 3 classes? 40 levels is an awful lotand itwould be fun to take a couple prestige classes i always wanted to play a ftr5/mnk15/src1/wm10/rdd10. however i dont seem to be able to take more than 3 classes much to my dismay. is there any way around this?

AFAIK It is hardcoded into the game, so - no there isn't.
The reason for this was stated far ago in the development process - it would simply make the games interface to cluttered and complex.

not only that. the in-game reasons for classes also prohibits more than 3/4 classes. a character can only do so much. plus, whe factoring in xp penalties, with 3 classes, it is already possible to factor in a -20% xp. Or, for non-human/hald-elf races, double that, if taking 3 non-favoured core class.

five would mean youre gaining a mere amout of xp per encounter with any relatively difficult enemies. ie. you're not gaining levels unless you cheat.
