What's a monster cable?

Post by humanflyz »

I've heard the term referred to before, but I have no idea what that actually does. Then one day I went out shopping for accessories for my Xbox, and I saw a monster cable for Xbox that's $34.99, and it claimed that it will make the video quality better. So can anyone explain to me what monster cables are and how they work? If so, is it worth it to pick up a monster cable for my Xbox?

Monster cable is essentially a cable made by a company called Monster. Try this link if your still interested in getting a few products for your Xbox. ;)

I'll tell you right now. Unless your TV is a long way away from your Xbox, the image won't be enhanced much, if any. Chances are, your Xbox is less then 3 feet from the TV, and a signal can't really degrade that much in 3 feet.

The whole cable quality, gold plating sales gimick is something that is sold to people who don't any better, and trust in the sales pitch.
