HK-47 bug?

I had a problem where after the leviathan if I talked to HK my game would go fubar and not let me do anything, so i went back to an earlier save and just didn't ask HK what he thought about me being *****.... It seems there is no way to get HK to acknowledge me as this person anymore, am I mistaken or just screwed out of his whitty comentary?
