Video card good, processor bad

Post by corsair »

I finallh got my Radeon 9000 in the mail and it rocks. It runs games that I could never play before. The only thing is is that the games are choppy cause my processor is a piece of junk. This sucks @$$. I need more money.
John 3:16-17

17-Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Just a word: Backstab .... ops... no, overclock it. But be aware of possible problems... overheating... unstable processing... lots of stuff

Moving to the tech forum. :)

If you resort to overclocking, make sure you have a good CPU fan, efficient airflow through and around the case and that you have high-quality memory.

You might check with your motherboard manufacturer and see what the maximum clock speed it will support and just buy a new processor. Athlon XP 2400+ chips are running for about $100 now.
