Mix or Match Classes?

I play Scout-Sentinels. We don't have opposites. We're already perfect as it is!

POLL: Keep Classes Together or Mix-and-Match?

Post by Adm. Pellaeon »

I've seen a great number of people make references to Soldier-Guardians and Scoundrel-Counselors. What I'd like to know is why? (No, I'm not asking why you're dual-classing, but why picking that specific dual class...)

I presume it's the same in the XBOX version, that you get to choose your Jedi class independently of your initial non-Jedi class. I understand the aesthetics, but I'd like to survery those who browse this forum...

Two Schools of Thought:

1. Soldiers and Guardians. Scoundrels and Counselors. Why break apart the pre-set pairing?

2. Scoundrels need the brawn of Guardian levels, and Soldiers need the abilities of Counselor levels.

Then there's the third school, but it's not like there is an opposite for Scout-Sentinel...
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious!

Tough choice -- that's what gives RPGs replayability :D If it absolutely comes down to it, I would probably go with the Scout-Sentinel, a sound balance IMHO (would still go light or dark though, for their respective benefits).
