ok, i could really use your help with him.
i tried killing him but couldn't make it.
should i even try it or should i just go outside and use the scroll to seal him?
i would prefer to kill him, but don't know how.
any suggestions?
Demogorgon
For lots of tips, do a search on 'demogorgon' and you'll find scads of stuff.
Here are a couple general tips, since I don't know your party. The reliable bail-out and "all else fails" method is to plant a number of rogue HLA spike traps (like 5) on the center where he materializes to get him severly damaged, then go clean up with fighters with greater whirl wind or improved haste. Fighter-mages are sweet for their pro magic weapons. Greater death blow will quickly clear the weaker demons, like the galbrazu.
He can certainly be killed without the traps however. A mage or sorc with time stop (to stop his servants from hacking your party, but be careful as demogorgon is immune to time stop), improved alacrity (esp wearing the robe of vecna and the amulet of power, set the autopause to 'spell cast' ot keep on top of the flurry), a couple lower magic resistances, and multiple ali-dalzims (esp through chain contingency), skull traps, etc. will really help (and will clean up on his gated servants). Multiple moky swords really help as well if you can't kill all the servants in the time stop session. Then have the fighters clean up after the magic assault. Buff the fighters with pro magic energy before the fight to protect them from your mage's rampage.
Its important to kill demogorgon asap as he'll keep gating in more servants. Moky swords will keep many of the minions busy.

Tired of working here wanted a holiday was thinking of retiring probably going to die. Time to move on under down... down down.
Spike traps are the canonical way - pretty much a sure thing.
A wave of higher level pets summoned through project image can help a lot too - I used a mix of Planetars, Skels and swords to finish beating Demogorgon up then clear out his little friends. Actually, they can do him in unassisted, but you'll have loads of Demons to clear out then, and it's a bit tedious. Lots of cheese opportunities cleaning up the little ones, but a mass o'pets is pretty much a sure thing too - for my most recent fight, I had 7 spike traps set, and Edwin's clone summoned, I think, 8 skels, 5 Planetars and two swords, and he was summoning the remaining swords when the last of D's pets fell over - NB, I hacked Edwin to sorceror, which makes that all vastly easier. The party just engaged with ranged attacks once Demogorgon was dead. The fight spam was incredible.

I have given up all lesser evils as inadequate to my purpose.
Congrads! its a more rewarding fight without the traps
On my recent time though versus Demogorgon, I was running the improved version (pretty nasty bugger) with tactics and spell-50 (where many spells' potency increases to lv50). My party was the PC a 29th lv wildmage, Solaufein, Jan, and Sarevok. I had Sola immune to magic and protected from magic weapons rush Demo, Jan chained moky swords and Sarevok covered my mage from the initial assault while my PC did a nasty imp alacrity time stop of 2 lower resistance on Demo, ruby rays, etc., 7 skull traps (29d6*7), 6 alidalzims (29d8*6) and like 7MM (which I think he was immune to recalling the battletext). The infernal host was destroyed and Demo was badly injured. Then Sola and Sarevok just finished him before he had a chance to call another infernal host. Moky swords were out of their jobs for that one...

yeah well, my main problem was with his deamons.
(my team - me - sorceror, aerie, imoen, keldron, minsc and anomen) i had aerie summonind creatures all the time, plantears, elementals, golems, whatever she could. imoen and myself kept
casting improved alacity, ruby, pirce magic/shield, lower resistance, abidalizm, and than i sent my fighters to finish the job.
it was really tough.
i'm sure that the traps can make the battle a whole lot easy, and i'm still hating myself for not keeping the team from soa (i had a great thief there), but what can you do.
draconis was much easier in that case. couple of lower resistance, pierce magic/shield did the trick.

Actually, you can easily kill Draconis with no charbeing hurt at all ^^ Again, the (imho overpowered) spike traps come handy. Simply lay a trail of traps down from near the entrance of the enclave, activate draconis and run. Normally, if you follow your trap-trail, he will be dead without even being inside your screen. Simply watch out for the corpse suddenly lying inside the fog of war ^^
As for Demo, he really is NO fun with traps. much to easy You can, however, escape to the upper level if you want; summon a planetar there and slaughter demons by masses. Gives nice exp ^^ If you want to go for Demo himself then, simply cast all protections you have, have the fighters rush him with IWW or IHaste, clerics can cast Storm of Vengeance or supporting spells, and an alacrity mage with vecna and the amu will kill about anything in reach. Be careful, however, that Demo doesn't accidently kill someone while in timestop.
Anyhow, personally I consider Demogorgon to be the toughest enemy of the game. I didn't yet manage to beat him on insane difficulty without using traps. Pets are nice, but on insane, he just flushes them with one wipe.

Corpses hanging from the cliffs,
it's death that I adore.
When finally my time does come,
I hope that I can sell
All the souls that I have taken
to devil down in hell.
