Character Kit Class Change

Post by Magus »

I chose to remain a standard fighter when I started BGII this time around, and now I'm really regretting it. I want to change to a Beserker, and I've even rationalized it for myself :D . After turning into the Slayer and tapping my inner powers, I've learned to focus that violence and hatred toward defeating enemies, without giving into the essence and becoming the Slayer.
So could someone please tell me the easiest way to change my class from a fighter to a beserker? I don't have any proficiency slots in ranged weapons, so I meet the criteria.

I tried to use ShadowKeeper once. I downloaded it, started it up, and looked at the screen in total confusion. :D

its not so difficult...

load your last save, click on the second tab "Characteristics". Beside "Kit" you have a drop down menu, look through there until you see "Beserker". Then save.

Wow! I must have downloaded an old version of Shadow Keeper last time. It was a bunch of DOS commands, and I had no idea what I was doing. But this one was easy and Windows-like. I've already changed my character to a beserker. Thanks Panda :)

Does this really give you the special abilities? Or will you get them when you next level up?

I usually create a new NPC when I want to change class or kit. Then I set the XP, known spells etc with SK.

You have to set Innate Abilities, Skills etc yoourself. Just use the corresponding sheets and you will be doing fine. ;)
