Game stops while attacking

Like always this hasn't happened before when I'm not attacking something it seems to run fine but when something hostile comes along it stops for couple of minutes then goes on and it does over and over
it's driving me nuts I hope somebody knows what I can do?

Have you at some point recently restored your computer, installed new drivers/hardware etc, because many of the problems you seem to be having indicate some failur in that aspect.

I can only advice to try using the tech forum in the NwN official boards to see if some have had the same experiences you have with your current hardware configuration.
