Creating A Party

Post by Graeye »

I have heard and read that there is a way to create an entire party and then play a "single player" game with that party. Well, I must be as dumb as a rock because I can't figure out for the life of me how to do it.

I searched this forum and found some "instructions" about selecting "serial port" and checking little boxes but I have no clue as to what these people are talking about. I click "multiplayer" ... I click "connection" and "serial port" ... I enter a name for the game and my player name ... then I click "new game" and absolutely nothing happens.

I've created some characters (four, I think) but I can only import one (a protagonist) for a single-player game.

Do I have to actually be on-line to start this mythical multiplayer game, save it and then load it as a single-player game off-line? If I have to be on-line, how do I do that? Where do I go? Do I have to pay a subscription fee to do this just one time?

If there really is a way to do this, could somebody post detailed step-by-step instructions that can be followed by a dummy?

Never mind. The Bioware forum had a good description and I finally figured it out.

What threw me was that all I had to do was connect to my ISP and it would work. I thought I had to connect to a specific website somewhere and I couldn't figure out what it was. Weird. (shrug)

Once you create your multi game, save, and quit game. You can now copy from "Multi Save" folder into "Save" folder, so that you can start single player mode with your newly created multi game. ;)
