CAn you increase stength and other attribute as you lvl up

Post by khaselri »

Do you ever get the chance to uprgrade your attributes i.e. strenth, constitution etc. Cause it seems as though a character would need allot of magic devices to get their stats to a good lvl as the game dosen't implement the di roll like the BG series.

Yes you can. The point buy system allows you to increase a statistic of your choice at certain level times. I can't remember which levels, but you can.

And just because the numbers aren't as high as the Baldurs Gate system, it doesn't mean you're not as powerful. ;)

You get to increase any attribute you like by 1 point every 4 levels - so you get one at level 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20; total of 5 extra points.

You can't compare the BG2 (2.ed rules) with the NwN(3.ed rules) stats on a 1:1 ratio because it is different ruleset.
(also remember - in bg2 you were the child of a god - here you are "ordinary" )

SPOILER FOR BG:

In BG you have the blood of a god running through your vains.
You are one of his children, a child of Bhaal the Lord of Murder. That makes you more then a mere mortal.
Guinness is good for you.
Gives you strength.
