corrupted save games - need help!!

hi,

I encounter the following problem:

after each big fight, I save my game. when I load the game again, my party appears not to be at the same point where I last saved the game. so I have to fight all the monsters again to get, where I have already been. currently I am in the dwarven halls.

my comp. meets all sys-reqs
my OS is winXP pro
game edition is german
applied patches: v1.3 and v1.4 official german patches
