Crows are resourceful and cunning.

Amongst the raptors, I prefer falcons or hawks to eagles...with one exception. The golden eagle of North America is exceedingly cool. I knew someone who kept a bird that had been maimed in the wild, and it was fantastic to be around.
Your choice of mammals is to be commended.
Reptiles: Great choices. Amongst snakes, I like the Boa Constrictor. Amongst lizards, I like the Nile Monitor...sleek, powerful, and beautiful to look at. Second place: iguanas.
Insects: The beetle has to be the coolest, I agree. I have watched ants swarm over a beetle. I watched this beetle toss them off, flip over, and walk away unscathed. Not only are they well-armored, but they are very powerful.
