I'm wondering if, out there in Computer Genius Land, someone knows how to extract character sprites from BGII.

I'm not sure if the game has to be running to throw all the parts and colours onto the paper doll or not, but I'm trying to get the sprite of a PC.

It's not important I don't suppose... I was just looking to make a spiffy avatar or some such.

What are sprites?
I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.

Thats a good question, I have no idea what ure talking about either.

Maybe you should clarify things a bit more??

Do you mean the image of ure character, which you see, when you go to ure inventory??

Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.

Not the inventory screen paper dolls, the in-game sprites. The ones who do all the fighting and walking about. I want to capture the animation; screen captures would take forever, and be highly inaccurate.

Why would that take forever?
Just printscreen and paste it in paint.
And you could "cut" around the corners

Aye, for one frame... but it's the animation I was hoping to capture.

Someone used to have a Gauth animation as their avatar here; I don't know if they still do, but I figured this would be the best place to ask.

I think this is the sort of stuff you could better ask in SYM,
there are some people that can help you there.

Why the free sample name of this thread?

Ah, cheers, I'll have an ask about then.

The name of the thread? *thinks a little* I don't really know, just what popped into my head.
