Well, this is a question for both Bg1 and Bg2 even though I can't solve because of Bg1 but these forum has more attenders...
On to the question.
I installed "the harder bg1 patch" for bg1 which also altered some multiclass rules, now I can't remember all the old rules and I don't want to use anything with my mp char (fighter, mage, thief) that I schould not be able to do.
I can use armor and cast spells which I know I schouldn't be able to do, but what more restrictions are there? I count things like "you can wear armor but you can't cast spells" as a restriction even if you can wear armor.
For example, can I wear helmet and if I am able to can I do everything else anyway, like casting spells?
Please list all these kinds of thing. I have searched several forums and looked through other sites but no site ever deales with a multi FAQ like this.
Thanks

As a fighter/mage you can only cast spells when wearing no armour or a robe. With armour you can't cast spells.
As a fighter/thief you can't hide or use thieving skills while wearing heavyer armour then studded leather.
Fighter/clerics and fighter/druids can cast spells while wearing armour.
(a fighter/mage/cleric wearing armour can only cast cleric spells)
helmet can't be worn by single class mage or single class thief.
But they don't affect the skills of a multiclass character
(example: a fighter/mage wearing a robe and a helmet can cast spells)
I hope this explains it for you.
Good luck

I do not have the touch, nor do I have the power.
