Well i am doing my test now, been awake since 7 am, and been spamming since 12:30 :D I am just crazy...oh yeah my test is on the legal interpretation of the word "like" in a WTO article  . I swear some people have no lives and brains if they expect us to cover the definition of the word "like" in one freaking page.

Lawyers bah....i wonder how they can live doing such mundane stuff.

Well representing BS would be fun, he gets into so many hot jams that you have to put your mind in full gear so that he can be freed. Why anybody would want to free him is beyond me :D

BTW 1 question done. 2 left. And what? 30 min and spamming. I am the man! :D Ho-ho-ho yeah  :p

That is one for sure. But my proffessors really dont coordinate. Another prof from the EU Commission gave us a very good summary and explanation of the very case we have the test for. So ie the questions she is asking of us has already been answered and been given to us in typed form from another class. All i have to do is reproduce it. Not much thinking on my part which i hate. We have done it so why bother doing anything else. Plus 3 pages test? Compared to the 15 page i had to write in 24 a week ago i am just pissed they are wasting my time with this crap.

Kind of beats the purpose of the test :( . I do recall doing an oral exam for a subject called European Law and B.S.-ing my way out of it with a lot of the stuff that wasn't in the theory, but which we had discussed during class. Totally aced it too :D ** takes another drink from his Duff **

SLURRing has its advantages :D - Yeah, I've seen the tiger before  and I haven't seen Nippy's yet, but I believe it was pretty much the same as yours, wasn't it :D ? I've tried to post mine from work, but no matter which format I save it in, it's still too big. Even reducing the quality doesn't help... . It's a desktop theme taken from Myst III. At home, I just use one of the standard XP desktops with a desert on it. I may be one of the few here not to have any shortcuts to my installed games on my desktop :D ** SLURRs some more Duff **

*achem* *achem* *clears throat* What can i say the man has good taste :D And as for shortcuts for games, mine are all in the programs folder. I cant stand cluttered desktops....and i want to see that desktop. Why dont you send it via e-mail to one of the techies here and maybe they can do something on paint shop.

Question 2 done. And i still have 3 hours...bah..

I hate looking at all of those icons, too! I make a "games" folder in the start menu, and then create a new toolbar on the taskbar to shortcut to it. Tidy when closed, and all the games are right there.

PS Can you define "(L)user" for me please?

Hm... I think I'd better get out of the penthouse now ... or I'll find myself god knows where when I get back in a week. :D

Also ... will we ever know if you did question three too, Fas? ;) :D

I can't believe my eyes ... a paper on computer with internet access? I think I'd flunk it royally, however easily it was. :D

Hm, I'll just grab some herbal tea to lift my spirits about having to leave playing NWN because of some stupid ski holiday ... :D :p ;)

@Skooter:

(L)user [ljooz'r]
n.

Lowest form of computer illiteracy (see also: amoeba). Term frequently used in the field of Helldesks and IT in general for a person who has wrongfully been given access to a computer. This person is usually also priviledged with phone access. A priviledge which is more often than not abused to torment Helldeskers (see also: homicide).

LOL :D . I once made an attempt at a SYMian dictionary:
  • SPAM: unwanted or "junk" e-mail messages, usually in large quantities. Often spamming is done deliberately, but it can be accidental. In many cases, sending a message to a very long list of recipients (even with good intentions) results in loss of computing privileges. In a forum, "spams" are, more often than not, off-topic posts.
  • LURKING: is the very common practice of reading an online or e-mail discussion without taking part in the discussion. Most visitors to discussions on Web sites, Usenet groups, e-mail discussion groups, Internet Relay Chat channels, or bulletin board systems understandably spend much more time reading or "listening" than writing or "speaking." What this term seems to imply in its usage is that some people benefit a great deal from a discussion without ever offering to enrich it with their own information or ideas. It is well understood and accepted, however, that there will always be lurkers in any discussion. And people new to a discussion are sometimes advised to lurk until they become familiar with the discussion.
  • COMM: is the cult of worshippers that spam much and deny more in their attempt to spread the "Light" of COMMunication as opposed to the "Darkness" of Spam. According to Weasel, leader of the COMMs:
a shortened version of Communicating. A way to spread joy to all the board and do away with the vile evil spam that is overflowing this place. Founded in 1982 by poor moon people on vacation to the Earth, it's a NON-profit group dedicated to wiping out Spam and Dark Flamers: a group of women dominators who hatched a plan to take over the world. Their postion is to have complete domination of COMM.
  • DARK FLAMERS: a group of men and women who write fiction in a thread called Order of the Dark Flames.
  • SLURR: lies somewhere between COMM and Spam. According to Ned, co-founder of the SLURRs, along with Bloodstalker and McBane:
it isn't really Spam and it isn't COMMunicating. Most aptly described, I'd say it's coherent thoughts contorted by booze.
  • BToN: Bloodstalker's Tavern of Neutrality. Tavern in which the principle of SLURRing was applied most accurately. Great conflict surrounds the closing of this tavern.
  • E.C.h.C. or E.C.H.C.: Electrified Composite headbanger C0cktail. Alcoholic drink, sprung forth from experiments with Ned Flanders' moonshine combined with electricity (recipe by Beldin). Invented after the Electric Shine Stinger (recipe by Eerhardt). Other experiments involve the Columbian Coffee Brew, the Massive Chug C0cktail (commonly known as MC²), Buck's FIZZes and purple beer (recipe by Ode to a Grasshopper).
  • Rolling Thunder: black Mack truck, driven by Beldin. It contains a pocket plane (see ToB), so that it can hold many recreational facilities (e.g. hottub and pooltable). It is also equipped with a shinethrower tm, operated by Ode to a Grasshopper. Primarily, however, the Rolling Thunder (TM) is considered to be a moving tavern (preventing final closure).
  • SYM: Speak Your Mind. Forum, in which moderators are a bit more lenient towards spamming :D
  • NDN: Next Door Neighbour
    LOL: Laughing Out Loud
ROFL: Rolling On the Floor Laughing
    LMAO: Laughing My (censorship) Off
    IIRC: If I Recall Correctly
    IMO: In My Opinion
RL: Real Life - often used as opposition to life in SYM
  • STICKY: first thread in a forum, marked with a message "sticky" to the side. Moderators can turn threads into stickies, so that they will remain on the first (couple of) page(s) of the forum and not move several pages according to which thread was last posted in, like the other threads.
  • BUMPING: making a post which does not contribute anything except putting the thread back to the top of the list
  • PM: Private Message. Often used as a verb to indicate sending a Private Message e.g. you can always PM me.
but I think most of it is common knowledge :D - Oooh yeah  ** takes a swig from his Duff **
