Strength from Tears does not stack..

Post by Rudradaman »

Hello everyone,
My char is a 12/27 Kensai/Mage, about to face Sendai with Abizigal still to come..I had a natural strength of 18/62 before the tears. With the tears of wrath I got 3 points (1 in strength for some reason + 2 More Strength points) for a strength of 21. With Lum's machine I got another point of strength to 22. Now, based on the GameBanshee Walkthrough, these points are supposed to stack, but I cannot see any increase in strength while:

a) Wearing belt of fire Gaint Strength ( or any other)
b) Using Angurvadal

My strength stays at 22 no matter what..Is this a bug that I can fix in SK? I'm using the Baldurash patches for TOB and nothing else..
Also, I thought Mass invisibility was supposed to provide mass improved invisibility. However when I cast it I see no AC bonuses and my team is just invisible, not improved invisible. Is there a patch to fix this? Thanks...

Check the items descriptions on a closer hand; they say that the items you've mentioned *sets* your strength at 22. Which means that you wont get 22+whatever bonusses you've attained through the game.
Those bonusses only stack with themselves and your natural strength.

Otherwise everybody could just set their strength to minimum and then buy a strength belt and wait for the tears = 25 strength with the evil way in hell and the firegiant strength belt.

Yes, it is the same thing with Holy Avenger, it sets the mr to 50. If you had 10 from ring of gaxx, it would still be 50, unless you equip the sword then put on the ring.

As far as I know does the tears of Bhall stack. It always did for me anyway  It says in the walkthrough on this site IIRC that the strength bonus is a special bonus which stack with ONE other strength bonus item that is equiped.

I think one of the baldurdash patches changed the effect of that evil bonus. It stacks in my game.
Improved invisiblity does add to your ac, just not on your sheet but one the enemies to hit roll.
However if you have the baldurdash patches installed the changed that I believe. I however prefer the original way since I already have minimum ac playing as a swashbuckler :D

I'm not sure, but it might be baldurdash patch which makes the changes in attribute not magical(i.e. not red). That means you can still add through other means. But I'm not sure where I got the patch though...
