Changing factions

Post by baudib »

I'm having a problem in my multiplayer game. With the 1.25 version, monsters won't attack. we've tried to compensate by having the DM control them, but the problem is if an NPC starts out neutral and then initiates an attack (in a town), all other neutral NPCs turn hostile. is there any way to work around this?

I think so. Give the NPC(s) you want to start fighting a Faction that everybody is neutral to. That way, nobody should give a... thing.

And what do you mean with "monsters won't attack"? That's the first time I heard of that bug.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this bug is when the monsters only satnd and stare at you for a while and then afetr you've attacked them for 5 secs they start attacking. It was thought of in the beginning of being caused of to slow CPUs but it has turned out that some HW IIRC is not 100% compatible with the game and this causing teh COU usage to be tremendous. Thsi might have been fixed in 1.25 or 1.26 not sure. I'm not even sure if the above is right. It was something that was speculated about on NWN forums. Can't remamber the specific thread sorry.
