Prince Klaus dies
I just heard on Radio Nederland that Prince Klaus, husband of the Netherlands' Queen Beatrix, has died, at the age of 76. I extend my condolences to all members of the forum from Holland. Any further comments about Prince Klaus I will leave to them.

Wow Fable, nothing mutch gets by you unnoticed does it?
I didn't think anybody would notice except for the dutch.
He was a cool guy.
He would have died years ago if he wasn't royal, but thats the way the system works.
They kept alive, and thats about it. Mentally he was long since gone. Sort of like the pope, if you know what I mean.
And thats too bad, I felt sorry for the guy.
But, there is one thing I'll never forget.
Once he took of his tie and threw it on the floor. "No more ties!!"
That was pretty cool.
My condoleses to the royal family.
(They probably never see this but...)

Yeah, I heard about that one, too. He was boosting African fashions as a means to assist development, and launched a satirical attack on the "tyranny of the necktie."
He was apparently a lot more than the usual royal hanger-on who does nothing but draw governmental funds to look good in public--a scholar of some note, a fine classical musician, and a superb diplomat whose career possibilities simply vanished when he married Beatrix.
