I presume that the official cut off is dependant to some degree on the length of time since registering and the actual time spent spamming, some members only started spamming after 5 months or so of being registered, others started straight away, so I would say the cut off point was about 5.50 SPD ;)
So, what are you doing in this thread, then? :rolleyes:

Well said, tybaltus. Why currently at work, I haven't done a damn thing this morning yet my network continues to hum and purr along without a single complaint from any users. Of course, I disconnected my phone and forwared all of my email to the white house.

Actually, since I'm leaving at noon, I should probably try to do a couple of small things.

LOL :D "small things" are the key words. :D Thats still acceptable, not great, but acceptable for the art of laziness/passiveness. :D :cool:

Who knows what is being said, either way, it ain't lurking conversation

Right...this is... spamming...conversation. ;) *disengages Shatner mode*

The two are inexorably tied together, it seems...lurkers are always spammers, but not all spammers are lurkers...and then, some alternate between being lurkers, then spammers. You know what I mean. I hope. :D

I usually always try to fulfill the lurker requirement by going invisible and stalking threads...certain ones, mind you. I must say that I haven't woke up in the morning with my fingers wrapped around my throat, though. That must be rather disturbing. Perhaps your fingers are trying to tell you something? :confused:

Well, as for me...

...I've been COMM and RUNning these past few days... :rolleyes:

...so you might say, yes, I sometimes lurk...

...simply because I don't have enough time to type and follow with the conversations. ;)

Then again, you're CIA, COMMrade Direktor... lurking is your business. :cool:

In a lurking thread, next thing you know one of us will be regent of lurkers ;)

I haven't a single clue, perhaps you meant something along the lines that all spammers lurk but not all lurkers spam except of course when they are spamming, same with spammers they spam only when they are not lurking...see? :D

It was always somewhat of a contradiction to be a lurker and visible, kind of obvious you are lurking then ;) I just think my fingers are hunting control, who knows what they want, I mean what is a fingers main motivation?

What about Buck? He's a lurker too, he's the first member and he's only got about 500 posts.

I don't think so. I believe Buck is a lurker as well as an administrator.

<Minerva's theory explained>
Simply look at the list of former/current mods of the SYM: Maurice, Flagg, TheDeacon, Mr Sleep, T'lanya and fable (did I miss anyone?). They all increased their spam counts dramatically within a few days after becoming mods, with exception of Deke. He failed to be another Flagg. :D

Conclusion: The SYM mods=Spammers, not lurkers. :cool: :p

@Mah:

...and business is good. :D

COMM? CIA? Why, whatever are you going on about, dear Maharlika? :eek: ;)

You know, Mah...come to think of it, you're always invisible. You lurker you. :p ;)

@Minerva:

Nice theory. I'd like to add to it if I may: mods are certainly not lurkers. Spammers, yes. I think the term Stalker fits, don't you? :D

@Sleep:
It was always somewhat of a contradiction to be a lurker and visible, kind of obvious you are lurking then I just think my fingers are hunting control, who knows what they want, I mean what is a fingers main motivation?

Being visible can add a little tension to your lurking, can it not? Then victims can say "Oh no...there's Sleepy and his vicious fingers again! Where will he strike next?" :eek:

What do fingers want? Oh my, do I want to find out? :eek: :D

So it is kind of like a fetish, do these lurkers gain some kind of sexual kick out of being exposed while at the same time not bringing attention to themselves. It sounds like a flasher who is secretly naked under a rain coat, not revealing himself until the time is right, where as spammers just despense with the rain coat :D

Well mine seem attuned to typing crap, given enough time they might sprout some sense but I don't see that happening any time soon, maybe when all is typed and sent then they will wrestly control off me...but I am vigilant against their plight, I see them there, plotting....the uppance will come!

Either that, or they stalk the boards...completely naked under their clothes!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Remember that guy Ash from the movie Army of Darkness? You should do what he did. Just cut 'em off. :D
