Getting through the Circle of Zerthimon. How?

Post by ETAKO TUMANO »

I'm having a problem progressing through the Circle of Zerthimon. I thought I'd made progress when I convinced Dak'kon to talk to me about his teachings and I was able to study the first circle. However, I couldn't go beyond that point for the longest time. Last night I spoke with Falls-from-Grace about Dak'kon, and after that exchange he allowed me to study the second circle. Now, I don't know if I was able to get to the second circle because I spoke with Falls-from-Grace, or because I'd leveled-up in the mage class since last time, or what.

How does one progress through the Circle of Zerthimon? What conditions control the progression?

Wisdom, and plenty of it. The greater your Wisdom, the more you can learn of his spells. Of course, none of them are truly necessary to play the game, but they're fun to have. As a sort of bonus, if you choose to invest an enormous amount of attribute points in Wisdom, you'll be able to resolve Dak'kon's midlife crisis concerning his faith. When that happens, his stats improve.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Spoiler?

You also need Intelligence to get the last few circles.

19 wis and int to get the last one or two, IIRC.
Here where the flattering and mendacious swarm
Of lying epitaths their secrets keep,
At last incapable of further harm
The lewd forefathers of the village sleep.
