Just curios if anyone on this board has played the previus two Total War games (Total war Shogun or the expansion "Attack of the Mongols") or the newest one which I am currently playing "Medival:Total War"

Because these games are basically risk laced with crack/heroin/speed. Its so freaking addicting and over all enjoyable. My English have quickly squashed the Irish and Scottish into submission and got them serving me, and during a mixed battle I killed the Spanish King (he had no hiers therefor spain crumbled) and now I am currently at semi easy peace iwth the HUGE FRENCH (which is odd). Historicaly speaking, the french should attack me pretty soon.

I've played Shogun, and really loved it. How is Medieval? Is it the same type of game as Shogun? Or is there alot of things changed?
While others climb the mountains High, beneath the tree I love to lie
And watch the snails go whizzing by, It's foolish but it's fun

A friend of mine has Shogun Total War and I've seen him play it, but I've never done so myself. What I saw was pretty cool though.

P.S. Anything good on Boondock Saints DVD? (Since I already have it on VHS)

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I played the first one and it was ace, really involving and fun. It was also an expansion pack which actually for once brought something new to the game. The Kensai ruled! :D

I would probably be playing it tomorrow if i wasn't skint, looks like it will be next week at best :(

How much of an improvement is it over the previous ones?

Here where the flattering and mendacious swarm
Of lying epitaths their secrets keep,
At last incapable of further harm
The lewd forefathers of the village sleep.

Oh joy

You folks have no idea. You can command soo many more units during battle. So many fun things to do as well... lets see while I am at work let me list the things to do..

You can spread the christian word by creating bishops/cardinals and placing them into your/enemy lands. Or better yet just create an Inquisiter, or better my fav a GRAND INQUISITER and go start inquisitions and burn thousands of people to death in the name of god.

Or start a crusade against egypt, rushing through france (while takinga bunch of french units from thier own armies because they feel the urge to join your crusade or jihad actually since the muslim religions get the same choices).

Assassins are still there. And spys too, spys are cool as hell.. drop one on a general of an enemy and reveal a hidden vice for the general (Like Blood Lust, Cowardice, Incest etc bunch of wierd crap too) and cause his troops to loose confidence in him).

The battles are SO MUCH MORE graphic (spare castles are bland but a blast to siege).

Through in the fact the pope is constant and they have stuff like the discovery of the cross of christ or when Ocham coined his famous Razors edge theory.... so much went into this game I just beat the first English Campaign I did and am now doing Historical Campaigns.

Just gota beat one more english battle in the 100 years war so I can be Joan of Arc (Already fought as William wallace in another game).... Its beautiful.
