Now that the demands, complaints, recriminations and attacks are all out in the open, can we forget about this--or at least, not forgetting, forgive, and move onto other matters?

Did anyone actually complain about Aegis' thread?

Did anyone take offense at Thug's mentioning of The Battle of New Orleans (a song about which is parodied in Aegis' post)?

Give him a break - he didn't think it out all the way but no harm was intended - that muchis obvious. Heck, you all know how I feel about the general 9/11 situation, but I thought it was funny. I don't think it is at all fair to berate Aegis for this - not when there's been no complaint and a lot worse in other threads.

Some people probably just prefer to send complaints to specific mods, instead of using the Report Forum Violations function. I got a couple of complaints.

Fable if you did get complaints then feel free to do as you deem right. I do realise that my original method was callous and could have been more sensitive.
