I'm finding Watchers Keep really difficult, probably because I have no patience. I'm on Level 4 and I'm not sure what I'm doing - I killed the Githanki, I killed the red dragon, I killed the Illithids, I accidentally killed the Apprentice - I was getting frustrated coz he wouldn't speak to me. Arrrrgggghhh! Isn't that annoying?
I know I'm looking for a mallet to open the machine of Lum the mad and I'm also trying to work out in what sequence to light the torches that open the only door I haven't been through.
I would like to finish Watchers Keep eventually! Please someone give me some hints. Thankyou.
Watchers Keep again (spoilers)

The order of the torches is on the floor - there are two stripes of colors on the floor of each side room.
I don't remember it right now, but just light the torches in the same way the stripes are colored.
The mallet is in a safe. Light the torches, they'll open the door.
Kill Garrock (i think that's how he's called), open the safe, and strike the glass SIX times.
That should allow you to pass to the last level.
I cannot be caged.
I cannot be controlled.
(I probably cannot be contained either)
Understand this as you die,
ever pathetic, ever fools.

where are the stripes? I never see the colors anywhere, I always have to look it up in the versus guide books to do that part. (or cheat my way into the mallet's room). The order of the torches is on the floor - there are two stripes of colors on the floor of each side room.
Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...
