Tybaltus, is that new order quote from Love Vigilantes. Man, I haven't heard that tune for many years.

Ned, I know what song you are talking about. One of my favorite yet unknown New Order songs. Nope. My quote is from their more commonly known song "True Faith". Huge hit in the UK, USA, and Canada. Love Vigilantes is a great song, though, ironically, I was going to post lyrics to that song here within the end of the month...
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

Indeed Tyb.

In fact the reason for my confusion is that the two songs lie next to each other on the 'low-life' album.

So I assume you are a New Order fan....One of my favorite bands from the 80's. I like songs like: Vanishing Point, Nothing For Me, Love Vigilantes, True Faith, Blue Monday, Dreams Never End, Temptation, and 1963, among a few others.

I'm not a big fan of new order, joy division is a different story. they were fantastic.

Anyway, I just really like those two NO tunes in particular and remember them being on the same album and next to one another.

Joy Devision is good, I havent heard that many songs from them though. One would think that if I was into New Order, then Id be into Joy Devision. Maybe I should look into getting one of JD's CD's.

Pick up substance. It's a greatest hits compilation (a concept I despise), however, it's one of the better representations of such a genre of album. It's got nothing on Hall and Oates, Rock and soul pt.1 though. LOL :p actually some early HaO stuff is pretty damn good.

When I first heard the song "Maneater" I was blown away. That was a great song. But then I heard a few more of their hits. And Im glad I didnt buy any of their other stuff. (I have only heard really 3 of their songs-but 2 were awful)

On a side note, I read you are a fan of Battlebots, somewhere on this site. Is that true? I mean its one of those things I love to watch. Its addicting to see destruction.

Tyb,

Son of Wyachi is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I haven't watched it much in recent time although I did catch the most recent superheavyweight semis and final.

The guy who did the original Vlad the Impaler built a new impressive machine as well although I can't recall the name. Slapping Loctite stickers all over your bot though means you've got some solid financial backing.
