Patching Question

I am not real clear on how patches work, if someone could answer a sillyquestion, I would appreciate it.

I just downloaded a patch (1.22). This is the only patch I have downloaded for the game. What I am wondering is: does this patch fix everything that earlier patches have fixed plus the stuff it lists in its patch.txt file? Or does one have to download each of the patches as they come out? And if I have not been downloading each one as it appeared, is there some way to go back and pick up anything I may have missed?

I guess it should include everything if you manually downloaded the patch. I got the patches for the game by using the update feature, and the update from v1.21 to v1.22 was around 1.5mb.

Have you tried to update the game from the start-up menu? It usually downloads anything that is needed even an update for the update program.

if you use the update feature from the launch menu then the software will determine automatically which updates you need so in you case if you used the update feature the game should have downloaded the 'big' patch which includes all the fixes in the previous patches.

I had originally tried the auto-update from the start-up screen of the game, and it had failed. The NWN official site said that if that happened, to download a small patch (1.08, I think) and re-try. I did so, and the auto-update then worked. I have to assume that it did everything that it needed to ...
