Shurikens
Shurikens
Beside you can get +3 Shurikens in Ch1, are they completely useless?
They were for my monk.
Run and shoot seems to be a lot harder in NWN than BGII; monsters always end up right on top of you and the shuriken begins to seem like a bad idea. Even if you have point-blank shot, there are a lot of more powerful ranged weapons out there.
Other than for role-playing (shuriken are very cool), I would say, yes, they're completely worthless.

agreed, actually i've not found any weapon that was useful for a monk (the various gloves + monk fist) are leaps and bounds more effective wepaons. plus the monks closing speed = why bother w/ ranged attacks. - then again this is my play style i don't recall using missle weapons much since bg1 (when they were freaky powerfull)Originally posted by Nygma

that being said, i keep a few throwing stars on the quick bar "just in case"
not completely worthless, they tend to fetch a fair price at finer stores everywhere, plus they are small & almost weightless, so you don't lose a lot of weight / space in inventory.
