@Flibblo: One venomous spider? I didn't now, where do they live? Good for you that people (you) don't come in contact with them often. How strong is their venom, could people die from it or is it more unpleasant?
Whats wrong with you

“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

That's one pretty spider, you can see it belongs to the same order as the Black widow, what a pity I didn't see one when I visited NZ! Well, I saw many other beautiful creeps, esp lovely colourful frogsOriginally posted by Mr Flibble

@Tybaltus: I have only seen Black widows in a terrarium, they were fairly large and had a clear, blood red pattern on the rear end of a spherical, black body. I think there are many different types, all are not as striking looking.
Phobia for spiders is also very common, since this thread is for discussing what is wrong with people, I could mention that the most common phobias are: social phobia, phobia for heights, darkness, flying and insects/other small animals. Phobia for injections and/or blood is fairly common too. My very first patient had a severe phobia for heights, kind of ironic for me as an old alpinist.
