I have always contended that if you really need to work you can find it, a decadent society seems to breed people who wont work because they feel the jobs they get offered are below them so prefer to live on welfare
There are a lot of people like that in Australia, true, but as an 18 year old with no previous experience it's surprisingly hard finding part-time work.
I have around 20 CDs, not many compared to some people...

What kind of jobs are you looking for, at worst you could hand out leaflets or something, if you really need the work you could do pretty much anything. Make yourself self-employed and go up and down the street cleaning houses for you neighbours, whatever happens it is work and you will get paid.
You could do voluntary work to put on a CV, employers always like that...
Well mine is pawltry compared to some peoples as well, i have heard of people with over 3500
I'd have to get drunk every night and talk about virility...And those Pink elephants I'd see.

I've mostly just applied at supermarkets and so on, the trouble is a lot of students have jobs in supermarkets and very few leave. The only job there was a potential opening for was full-time, and I'm not after full-time work, only part-time or casual.
Who on earth needs 3500 CDs... How would you be able to listen to them all enough to justify buying them?

All the local stores have waiting lists about 2 pages long. I'm on the lists too, but it'll be a while before my name comes up...
There's a reasonable number of teenagers around where I live, and not many local stores. All I can really do is wait my turn.

I can't speak for your area but around here there are jobs if one wants them, it might be menial work but someone has to do it
You could of course take up a life of crime?
